Depuis 2005, date à laquelle sort « Mute » son premier album autoproduit, Vale Poher n’a cessé de vouloir continuer à faire vivre sa musique, de la pousser au plus loin, de se remettre en question et de tenter de nouvelles expériences artistiques en collaborant avec d’autres artistes venant de différents univers.

Ayant toujours en tête l’esprit du Band « La musique ne doit jamais être inoffensive »,  elle signe deux albums et deux EP entre 2005 et 2009 (tous réalisés par Bob X), nourris d’envies, d’influences revendiquées et de ce besoin d’être curieuse et poreuse au monde extérieur.

« Mute » reçoit un bon accueil critique, il est sélectionné par Indétendances (FNAC), ce qui permet à l’album d’être distribué dans toute la France.

Vale Poher enchaîne alors de nombreuses dates solo, premières parties (Troy von Balthazar, Laura Veirs, Au revoir Simone…) et festivals en France et en Europe (Femmes s’en mêlent, Ladyfest, Bar en Trans...)

2006 est l’année des collaborations. Vale Poher est sollicitée par d’autres artistes. Elle explore l’univers du théâtre en com­posant la musique originale d’une pièce de théâtre,    «Kostia», adaptation de « La Mouette » de Tchékhov par Vincent Roumag­nac. Ses créations sont jouées en live lors des représentations qui ont lieu à Lyon et Saint Etienne entre janvier et avril 2007.....

Elle compose et enregistre également la bande son de l’exposition « Blue Time vs Suspense » du plasticien Saâdane Afif. Elle est éditée sur le EP 3 titres « Blue time vs sus­pense » qui sort chez Optical Sound. En 2007 cette collaboration se poursuit : Vale Poher  joue en live « Blue time vs Suspense » lors de la performance Rehearsal en décembre à Miami (USA) dans le cadre de l’exposition « French kissin’ in USA », Art Basel Miami 2007.

Le titre « Blue time vs suspense » est par ailleurs nominé aux 4^ème Qwartz Awards en avril 2008.

Durant l’hiver 2006/07, Vale Poher enregistre trois morceaux. Avec le EP« 3X2 » elle remet en question le dialogue guitare/voix en ajoutant des arrangements rythmiques et instrumentaux.

C’est avec cette même envie de s’ouvrir à de nouvelles perspec­tives, qu’elle propose à des artistes de colla­borer : Scalde (pop electronica), Doctor Flake (hip hop abstract/down tempo) et Flore (breaks) revisitent alors ses morceaux.....

Tous les trois ont joué le jeu : à partir d’une piste de voix et d’une piste guitare, et sans connaître le morceau original, ils ont créé un remix. Le EP « 3X2 » sort en novembre 2007 chez Blog up musique/Kitchen music/Pias.

A partir de septembre 2007, Vale Poher travaille à l’enregistrement de son deuxième album, « Tauten ». L’album est enregistré avec basse/batterie/guitare/arrangements électroniques. On retrouve Carine à la basse (voix chez Spade and Archer, le Peuple de l’herbe, Rzatz) et à la batterie Franck Laurino (Bastards, Zerö, Spade and Archer).

Parallèlement, Vale Poher monte une formation live composée de Carine (basse) et de Emily (batterie) pour défendre sur scène « Tauten ». Vale Poher Group a effectué son premier live le 29 mars 2008 au centre Pompidou lors d’une soirée « tour de France ». Depuis ValePoher Group a enchaîné les concerts en France, notamment lors du Dandelyon Tour au printemps 2009.

Entre temps les projets satellites s’enchaînent : durant l’été 2008, Vale Poher enregistre la bande originale du film d’animation de Vergine Keaton « Je criais conte la vie. Ou pour elle ». Elle obtient le prix de la Sacem pour l’aide à la création musicale.

Le film est sélectionné et remarqué dans de nombreux festival dont le festival du film d’animation d’Annecy (juin 2009) et fait partie de la sélection de l’ACID au festival de Cannes (mai 2009).

Vale Poher apparaît également sur le dernier album de Mansfield TYA «  Seules au bout de 23 secondes » Vicious Circle (sortie février 2009) pour un duo inédit, sur celui de Doctor Flake « Minded surprises » New deal/Differ-ant (sortie mars 09) et est présente sur le premier album de Flore « Raw » sortie en octobre 09 sur le label anglais Botchit&Scarper.

En septembre 2009, Vale Poher sort Tauten dans la pure tradition DIY qui lui est chère. Après une édition numérotée de 200 exemplaires, une nouvelle édition entièrement peinte et faite à la main est disponible.

Vale Poher et sa nouvelle « famille » le Vale Poher Group composent et travaillent actuellement à l’écriture d’un nouvel album : une nouvelle direction, toujours prétendre à plus sans prétention aucune.

Since 2005, date when her first self-produced album "Mute" came out, Vale Poher never ceased wanting to bring her music to life, to push further, to put herself into question and to try new artistic experiences in collaborating with other artists from different worlds.

Always keeping in mind the spirit of the Band "Music should never be harmless", she recorded two albums and two EPs between 2005 and 2009 (all directed by Bob X), fed on desires, of claimed influences and this need to be curious and porous in the outside world.

"Mute" receives a good critical welcome, it is selected by Indétendances (FNAC), selection that allows the album to be distributed throughout France.

Then, Vale Poher chains many solo dates, support acts (Troy von Balthazar, Laura Veirs, Au revoir Simone ...) and festivals in France and in Europe (Les Femmes s'en mêlent, Ladyfest, Bar en Trans ...)

2006 is the time of collaborations. Vale Poher is sought by other artists. She explores the world of theater composing the original music for a play, "Kostya", adaptation of  "The Seagull" by Chekhov, by Vincent Roumagnac. Her creations are played live during performances that take place in Lyon and in Saint Etienne between January and April 2007.

She also composes and records the soundtrack for the exhibition "Blue Time vs. Suspense" of plastic artist Saadane Afif. This soundtrack is published on the 3 tracks EP "Blue time vs. Suspense" that comes from Optical Sound. In 2007 this collaboration continues : Vale Poher plays live the soundtrack "Blue Time vs. Suspense" at the Rehearsal performance in December in Miami (USA) as part of  the exhibition "French kissin' in the USA", Art Basel Miami 2007.

The track "Blue vs. time thriller" is also nominated to the 4th Qwartz Awards in April 2008.

During winter 2006/07, Vale Poher records three songs, but this would not count on her desire to put herself in danger again.

With the EP "3X2" she reassesses the dialogue guitar / voice adding rhythmic and instrumental arrangements.

It is with this same desire to open up new perspectives that she offers to artists she likes to work with her : Scalde (pop electronica), Doctor Flake (abstract hip hop / downtempo) and Flore (breaks) revisit her tracks.

All three have played the game : from a vocal track and a guitar track only, and without knowing the original song, they have created a remix. The EP "3X2" is released in November 2007 in Blog up Music / Kitchen Music / Pias.

From September 2007, Vale Poher works on the recording of her second album, "Tauten". With new experiences, the album is recorded with bass / drums / guitar / electronic arrangements. We find Carine (the singer of Spade and Archer, le Peuple de l'Herbe, Rzatz) on bass and Franck Laurino (Bastards, Zerö, Spade and Archer) on drums.

At the same time, Vale Poher spins off a live band made up of Carine (bass) and Emily (drums) to defend "Tauten" on stage. Vale Poher Group made its first live performance on March 29, 2008 at Centre Pompidou during an evening "Tour de France". Since then, Vale Poher Group has multiplied live shows in France, especially during the Dandelyon Tour in spring 2009.

Meanwhile, the satellite projects succeed one another: during the summer of 2008, Vale Poher records the soundtrack for the animated film of Vergine Keaton Je criais contre la vie. Ou pour elle." ("I shouted against life. Or for it."). Then, she gets the price of the SACEM for the aid of music creation.

The film is selected and noticed in several festivals including the Festival of Animated Film in Annecy (June 2009) and selected by the ACID - Cannes Festival (May 2009).

Vale Poher also appears on the Mansfield last album TYA "Seules au bout de 23 secondes" Vicious Circle (Released in February 2009)
for an unpublished duet, on the Doctor Flake "Minded Surprises" New Deal / Differ-ant (Released in March 2009) and is present on the first album of Flore of "Raw" released in October 2009 on the English label Botchit & Scarper.

In September 2009, Vale Poher releases "Tauten", faithful to the DIY tradition which is valuable for her. After a numbered edition of 200 copies, a new one, fully painted and handmade, is available.

Vale Poher and her new "family", the Vale Poher Group, are currently composing and working on the writing of a new album : a new direction; always claim more, unpretentiously.
