Hello Mudcat Friends and Fans –

How time flies!  This is Mudcat’s 20^th year in ....Atlanta...., and tonight he will be at Northside Tavern in ....Atlanta...., a Wednesday night slot he has held down for 15 years!  As if a full schedule of performing, two recording projects, and a host of new songs in the works hasn’t been keeping him busy enough, he’s been in the garden and kitchen again, cooking up fresh batches of his now famous (or is that infamous?) hot sauce.  If you’re lucky, he just might have a few jars at the gigs that you can purchase.

This is going to be a long update, with shows ranging from the mid-Atlantic to the Southeast, and from the mid-West to ..Europe..!  Grab a beverage, get comfortable and read on…

Friday, Sept 4:  Warehouse Blues in ....Durham.. ..NC.....  This FREE concert runs from ..6-8 pm.. and takes place at the ....West.. ..Village...., located at ..

Saturday, Sept 5:  Mudcat will be at Old Ebbitt Grill in ....Washington.. ..DC.... for the 2009 Block Party.  Music runs from ..6-11 pm.., and the shindig will be at ..

Monday, Sept 7:  WRFG’s 24^th Annual Labor Day Blues Barbecue at Park Tavern in ....Atlanta.....  Doors open at ..12:30.. and music runs from ..1-8:30 pm.., with performances by Mudcat, ....Beverly.... “Guitar” Watkins, EG Kight and many more.  A $15 donation at the door (under 12 is free) will get you in for an afternoon and evening of fantastic blues.  Advance tickets available for $12 at wrfg.org.  Park Tavern is located at ..

Friday, Sept 11:  DBA Barbecue in Atlanta’s Virginia Highlands for an early, family-friendly show.  Music starts at ..7:30.., there is no cover, and this place serves up some of the best BBQ around.  And for folks like me who stick more to tofu and hummus than pork and chicken, there is a MULTITUDE of vegetarian options - lots of choices for the little ones, too.  DBA can be found at ..

Friday, Sept 18 and Saturday, Sept 19:  Mudcat returns home to Northside Tavern in ....Atlanta.....  Show starts at ..10 pm.. and cover is $10; bring your dancing shoes and get ready to party!  Northside Tavern is at ..

Monday, Sept 21:  Another family-friendly show, this time at the 5 Spot in Atlanta’s Little 5 Points.  This free show starts at ..9 pm.., and the kitchen serves up some mighty tasty sandwiches, wraps, and soups in town.  Mudcat will be performing solo and acoustically, so you’ll never know which instruments he’ll play – ukulele, banjo, guitar, it’s anyone’s guess!  The 5 Spot is at ..

Friday, Sept 25 and Saturday, Sept 26:  Mudcat returns for his third appearance at ....Columbia.. ..MO....’s Roots ‘N Blues ‘..N BBQ.. Festival.  Friday’s show will be at the ....Mediacom.. ..Stage.. ..Peace.. ..Park.... from ..5:15-6:30 pm.. and Saturday will take place at the Isle of Capri Stage at Whole Hog Lounge from ..1-4:30 pm...  Tickets for the whole weekend are only $15 in advance and can be bought at any Ticketmaster outlet, The Blue Note Box Office, Boone County National Bank branch, or Break Time convenience store, as well as over the phone (call The Blue Note at 573-874–1944) or at rootsnbluesnbbq.com/tickets.

Wednesday, October 14 kicks off Mudcat’s fall tour of ....Italy.... with a performance in ....Milan.... at the Nidaba Theatre.  Additional shows in Cantu and other cities will be announced soon.
