About: Swave Sevah aka Swavy Krokett aka The Spitist,
aka Anakyn Highwalker. Call him what you want, but once you hear this
NYC native's unmistakable baritone and clever verses, you won't forget
him. Born and raised in Harlem, Swave started spitting rhymes at the
age of 9. He studied martial arts and earned black belts in Tae Kwon Do
and Shotokan. As a young man, he dreamed of someday making it to the
NBA, but that faded as his passion and talent for music grew. "Hip hop
swallowed me whole," he says. Now Swave is one-third of the hip-hop
group CVEES, who released their debut single "The Jump Off" in July of
2003. He also is a member of the underground wrecking crew Stronghold.
Swave's gravelly freestyling won the world famous End of the Weak MC
Challenge ..20, and along with rap partner-in-crime IkeP, Swave won the
spitboxing tag-team battle at Club Pyramid. In 2005, he toured the
United States with J Live, C-Rayz Walz and Vast Aire on the Best Damn
Rap Tour. He also recently has been touring the world with Immortal
Technique. 2008 was a big year for Swave after dropping high profile
appearances on Vast Aire's "Duece's Wild", and Immortal Technique's
"The Third World", he was crowned the Unisigned Hype from The Source
magazine. With his ONG BOK and So Harlem mixtapes flooding the streets,
the world will finally be ready for his solo debut "Hell Up In Harlem"
produced in enitirely by Drum & Knowledge of Parallel Thought.
