low in the sky

crate obscure's votes will not be counted since we clearly stated that there is to be no voting for yourself.

we had one more last-minute entry. the judges convened and decided to allow it despite ray parker jr's pleading otherwise.

please adjust your votes accordingly.

thank you

i would have to choose in this order and there were some funny ones, but i choose first Low in the sky - Barn, then bread mold, the cover looks pretty good on that one, don't know about bread mold as a name though, maybe just 'mold' or 'stale', 'stale bread'... 'moldy bread' even?!...anyhow its not my work so not my choice but those two stood out for me.

#1: kenmore, but I don't feel like the blue bar beneath the lettering works - it should be the same black as the shirt, or tweaked in some other manner.  Perhaps a different font for "Kenmore" would compliment the low in the sky text better?  This cover has a messy, entertaining quality to it.
#2: bread mold - nice composition and coloring, but I'd change the title, which deborah also suggested.
#3: big toe - I think this one is just visually eye catching, and slightly reminds me of David Lynch movie covers or lighting, yet it isn't scary.  To me.

I'd love to make a submission, if you guys ever do this sort of thing again.  Good luck with the new album, love the music, as always =)

Grrrrrmmmmpfff, uggghhh, oh excuse me, I just woke up. Contest, what contest? Oh, I think this might be a good one.

Low In The Sky -- Man Scout

Personally, I'd like to see a picture of Brittney Spears with her shaved head on the cover. Yeah, that's the ticket. But I dunno. She might not like that. You could call it Girl Scout. Then how could she complain? Nuthin' wrong with the Girl Scouts.

But let's face it. Low in the Sky wouldn't be where they are today if it wasn't for Brittney Spears, who broke ground and took on challenges, musically and in her own personal life. So perhaps the best choice indeed is the one below, to honor dear Brittney...

Bald Brittney

And that's about all I can recommend. Sorry for my late entries, but I was catchin' up on my sleep.

Or if you want to avoid the traditional look, and go for a more contemporary girl, this one here's got that kinda ethereal look on her face, like she's listening to Low in the Sky right now...

Yeah, a Low in the Sky groupie. What's her name and what's her number? Hmmm....

But if you want to sell CD's you gotta put a pretty girl on the cover. Yeah, that's the ticket. Sex sells.

Here's the Winner

And, you even get Minadeo on the cover with this one, if you look closely...
