Sat 30th June

After another late-late night, life wasn't seen until late morning but we managed to collect ourselves quickly and we were out of the house by 1pm. After a quick trip to the mall for gift shopping we headed to Chattanooga and a spectacular view of the whole town sitting in the middle of a huge bowl, surrounded by mountains.

We went to a micro-brewery in downtown and sampled all 8 beers - some where too weird (the banana one), but some were just like the British ales and tasted more familiar. Yesterday seemed sooooo hot, after a brief scenic walk by the Tennessee river we were flagging so again headed for the nearest air conditioning, turns out we entered a highly recommended English style bar (The Hair Of The Dog) that sold Old Peculiar!

I think we brought the weather with us, as i type, huge thunder claps are echoing around us that i have to admit keep making me jump, but they don't seem too bothered here so we're acting cool.

We were pretty nervous about whether doing two shows (Club Fathom and The Local) would be too much in one night, but despite a little frogginess from Chewy and me (Ian) we coped surprisingly well, and went down a storm according to the feedback we received.

Chewy sampled Krystals burgers (nicknamed Gut-bombs by the locals!) with red wine establishing 'Hillbilly-chic' when we got back (and Johnny has promised to finish the left-overs in the fridge). One more gig to go.....
