Mon 2nd JulyAfter saying our goodbyes, which was extremely difficult, we headed off down Highway 58 for the last time towards Atlanta city.
Along the way we reminisced of all the things we had done and people we had met, quoting various sayings and incidents that had occurred. This, we realised had been more than just about playing gigs, it had been one of those special life experiences that we will always treasure and look back on with great love, respect and affection. We had had THE most amazing time and had made many great friends. We had not experienced one argument, fall out, or any iota of trouble at all within the band, despite the tight schedule and heavy fatigue that we had all suffered. One could say we had passed the "test" with flying colours. It had all been a great success.
Every venue we played at said that the door laid wide open for us to return, indeed there are already mumblings of the next Kerbslider gigs in the USA.
The flights home were much easier than the ones coming in to the US which was a welcome relief and we arrived home safely after about 26hrs.
Our thanks go out to all those who had a part to play in our trip and to those who supported us - you all know who you are and a VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to Danno, Elisa and Kelly for putting us up and taking such good care of us and making all this possible and to Marty, Zac (with an H) and Red (howdy), of Seven Under Suicide who were magnificent in their generosity and professionalism. We are missing you all and are forever in your debt.
