The Glitch is back in full effect with a line up of electronic heroes for the chin stokers, and party goers alike. Main Room:LA Synthesis (Live PA)http://profile.myspace.com/carlgrantTechno Legends LA Synthesis are Carl Grant and Tony Gallagher, who formed in 1992. The track Agraphobia on Mr Cs Plink Plonk imprint (with its trippy hookline and Kenny Larkin remix), became a huge fixture in London's clubs and was an instant universal techno classic. Many live performances followed, including a triumphant appearance at the Fridge alongside the legendary Detroit producers Kenny Larkin and Stacy Pullen. Next from the duo, came the CMI Wavesequence single on the A13 label. Alongside the Frozen Tundra EP on French label Shield records and Blue Basique release Reich/Zebra, a backlog of material finally started to appear, Including a Album (Matrix Surfer) originally written for Plink Plonk records, later to be released only on cd for Shield records. The duo also released the more electro based Harmonic Disassembly in 1997 on Global Communication's Universal Language label followed by a release with Carl Cox’s offshoot Ultimate Breaks Doidy dawg. In late 1999 Gallagher split from the group to pursue a solo project under the name Linear Systems and Carl under the guise Dolphin Wave Effect, later to be known as Wave Effect. Gallagher was re-united with Grant in 2007 and have performed gigs together at Bloc Weekender and the Beatport Popkomm Party in Berlin.
***Very Special Guest to Be Confirmed***Cyan 341 - live (Uncharted Audio)http://www.myspace.com/cyan341www.unchartedaudio.comTechno Soul Music from this talented London Producer. Expect all the classic Detroit techno acts from the past rolled in to one and currently much loved by the Mary Anne Hobbs / Plaid crowd. Cyan 341 produces effortlessly pulsing cleverly smeared sounds of dubby post-techno. This guy has some skills for sure.
Jayetal (Live PA)www.myspace.com/jayetalFirst, take the Apple Mac (and those shiny objects with big buttons on) produce bleepy bloopy boing-boom-tchak noises and add on a voice that’s been vocodered into oblivion, like Kraftwerk genuinely trying to petrify you. Then start plucking atmospherically at a guitar so that 65daysofstatic start to watch their backs, and add on some synth-o-rama that the recent/current ‘80s revival would pride itself in if it was having fun rather than preening itself. Then, once all that’s stretched elastically and mozzarella-style over the processed beats, get the live drums to pound in like the hands are controlling the brain and not vice-versa, and watch the crowd either throw mad shapes or bask in the wonder of it all. That’s electronica marvellousness right there. Make sure you’re freaky dancing when the revolution comes.
