The new Automatics album "Britannia" has also ben chosen as Mike Read`s album of the week', week commencing 3 Sept. 2006.

It's all about the music we, here at Big L, love, and indeed, what we feel our listeners love, said the station's anchorman, legendary broadcaster, Mike Read. There's an abundance of great music out there that simply isn't played by the corporate radio stations. With true pirate nonchalance, we will play what we want to play. We won't discriminate on age either; if Donovan has a great new album out, we'll play him side by side with a band like Razorlight.
The Automatics` next single will be "Old River Thames", another track from their "Britannia" album. The single will feature 2 new and previously unavailable tracks and is scheduled to be released by Dork Records in mid October 2006.
Big L radio is currently available on Sky Digital 0190 and on the internet and is expected to be returning to it`s AM 1395 frequency in Sept. 2006. For more information, visit : www.bigl.co.uk
