Yesterday I listen Lost 45 from Toto a song called "I'll Supply The Love". You'll hear lost Toto Songs like "Make Believe", "99", "Stranger In Town", "Pamela",etc on Barry's radio show. But their follow up to their top 10 hit "Hold The Line" should of been a bigger hit for Toto. Do you agree Barry?

Toto is an often overlooked band which critics hated...mainly because critics are never musicians and are full of envy.

David Paich is a pal of mine and I love the group.

Another Lost 45 that I Have in my Mind is "For The Love of Him by the late Bobbi Martin, another song oldies radio just doesn't seem to touch anymore. It's from United Artists years until it got brought out by Liberty in 1980.

Barry,

A song that spark a memories when I was 5 Years old was "Keep The Fire" by Kenny Loggins. It was playing on my family 1974 Electrophonic Stereo. I was tapping my feet, loving the song. 27 years later I still love that song.

Barry Scott,

Did You know before he co-wrote "Let's Get Serious" for Jermaine Jackson, Lee Garrett almost had a top 40 hit with "You're My Everything" in 1976.

There was a version where the 'white boy' was taken out...some stations asked for the change back then. It is available on some CD collections...even though Rob Parissi of the group doesn't like the change. He has an interview available on my web site at http://www.lost45.com

I would love to arrange this....even talked with Bo Donaldson about it.

Unfortunately the club and concert scene in Boston simply bites.

Barry Scott,

Last night i heard a snippet of Dave Mason last hit to reach Billboard's Hot 100 Chart in 1980 with "Save Me" and I heard Michael Jackson doing background vocals on that song. That is kind of rare.

Hey Barry, I'm listening to Marilyn Martin "Night Moves". Her Breakthrough hit from 1986..It's a great song and a Lost 45. It's a shame that song is forgotten..That's what makes it a lost 45.

Why does the song Woman In Love by Barbara Streisand sound like a Bee Gees song?

Aha! we seem to be cruising right along the same avenue!...lost ones, geez...."You Wouldnt Listen" by the Ides Of March, "Dont Say You Dont Remember" ....Beverly Bremers...reading your page, the Flirtations.....way too many to freaking name!

Being a former on-air (WWKO - Cocoa) I was fortunate enough to obtain my own Sunday Night Request Show, which I spun tons of lost soul and motown. I mean, who remembers the Dynamics??

I wanted to Thank You personally for acknowledging all of this lost talent! I have been scrambling on my own page to add a collection of real bizarre lost 45's, as well as acknowledging my music friends. Lets keep that spirit flowing!!!

Respectfully,
~Joanne

Hey Barry...One week you played "Why Not Me" by Fred Knobloch and just last week you played "Dreamtime" by Darryl Hall. Those are 2 song you don't hear on the radio, anymore.
In Charlotte, we have a place called The Wax Museum which sells old 45's and Albums (Not to mention Cassettes and 8 Tracks) Glad to hear someone take the idea of playing those old forgotten songs. I remember being 6 years old and listening to "Dancing Queen" on my Sister's 8 Track tape...Thanks for the memories and keep bringing 'em on
