Today I had a radio interview with my old classmate from Humber college Nick Sawicki. The station is doing various shows on Canadian musicians. It's out in Fort McMurray, Alberta and it's called Mix 103.7 fm. I'll be posting the interview when he gets it all sounding pretty. I have to laugh at interviews because I just ramble on and on and just hope for the best. Even though I worked in radio, interviews can still be intimidating but still somehow fun.
I also have applied to the NSCC for music arts. This program looks awesome. It has everything from music theory, to music business. I have to do a test and an audition so I'm attempting to learn some music theory again. If I don't get in I may just take the one year music business program. I would LOVE to take the 2 year one though because I think it would help me become an even better musician.
Lastly I have a gig coming up in March in Halifax with Womyn Zone Entertainment. It's at the Blue Moon pub on Gottingen St. It's a women's event...gay, straight, bi, trans...all women are welcome. I think this will be a lot of fun. There's a serious shortage of places for lesbian/bi women to hang out in Halifax. I'll post more info on that a little later. Talk to you soon.
