ROCK OUT WITH YOUR COUTURE OUT
New Heavy Metal Clothing Line ‘METAL COUTURE’
celebrates it’s Spring 09 launch with an exclusive acoustic performance by
IN THIS MONENT in NYC March 5th 2009.

NEW YORK – March 5, 2009: IN THIS MOMENT made a special stop along their tour to perform an exclusive acoustic set for MTV2, 30 lucky contest winners, and the media at the official runway launch party of the new heavy metal clothing line, Metal Couture at Fontana’s in NYC on March 5th.

“Sexy clothes, good music and beautiful people -- the classic formula for the ultimate rock and roll party. Alison Roberto of Metal Couture proved that not only does she make one of the hottest clothing lines out there, but she can throw one hell of a party, too.”  – Jennifer Thiele, PLAYBOY

This was no ordinary Runway Show. This was a Rock n’ Roll Lifestyle event; complete with burlesque acts by The Maine Attraction, musical performances, gorgeous tattooed models, and well known metal personalities. The show went off without a hitch in the packed chandelier room of Fontana’s (105 Eldridge St. NYC) and ended with praise by the media & press.

“Metal Couture took everything you think you know about fashion and fashion shows and subverted it, giving it an edge by showcasing tattoos, heavy eyeliner and custom cut rock tees, making metal fashion forward and fabulous without blunting any of the scene's uniqueness.” – Amy Sciarretto, HIT PARADER Magazine

The March 5th event was hosted by Jose Mangin, host of Sirius XM’s “Liquid Metal” (formerly Hard Attack), host of nationally syndicated TV show LatiNation and recently the host of MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball 20th Anniversary, and Allison Hagendorf, A&R executive of Grammy-nominated Lamb of God’s “Sacrament” album for Epic Records, and host of Playboy Rock the Rabbit, Playboy Mobile, and Steve Madden Music.

The bash featured Anne Lindfield (host of Headbangers Ball Denmark), Jason Wood (It Dies Today), Paul Zurlo (Too Pure Too Die), M Lazar (September Mourning) and many more on the runway.
Sponsors included;  ZINK Magazine, MANIC PANIC, PETA, Trustkill Records, SESAC, Cutler Salon, McSorley’s Ale and Monster Energy Drink at Fontana’s in NYC.
THE BURN & CRY closed the night with a powerful performance including songs from their latest album and a sick rendition of Led Zeppelin’s “Whole Lotta Love” sung by the awe inspiring DANA FUCHS.

Behind the scenes photos & footage can currently be found on METAL COUTURE’s website (http://rockmetalcouture.com/Spring_09.html). The line will be announcing the official MTV2 air date soon.

ABOUT METAL COUTURE:
Metal Couture, an edgy metal-inspired clothing line, first began twisting together a love of high fashion and heavy music in 2000 by designing custom-cut band T-shirts for a variety of acts on the local NYC metal scene. The inspiration for the men’s line came when Lead Luminous (lead singer of NYC rock artists The Burn & Cry) expressed interest in bringing a metal edge to his golf attire after playing a round with Testament’s Chuck Billy.  Designing for the traditionally conservative venue of golfing, and others like it, sparked the idea of bringing a heavy metal fashion edge into these uncharted realms of everyday society.  Metal Couture also carries women’s dresses, tanks & tees as well as children’s and dog apparel.
