I'm just devastated about the loss of Teo Macero. To be honest, I didn't know him very well, but I did speak to him a few times a year, and also have a ton of vinyl from him. I won't go into his life's work and importance as a producer, composer, engineer, etc. There's plenty of info out there. He was an inspiration in the fact he was a fellow Eastender. The fact that Teo was "local" made me feel connected to something special. Those connections can be what drive us, they are for me. I have a great picture of Teo and my dad (another inspiration) playing piano "4 hands" style. I'll post it up here. Thank you Teo!
