Current mood:  accomplished

So...

It's been at least 6 months of solid 'studio buggary' and at last i have a master in my weathered hands!

This 'do it yourself' game (and it is a game!) was one hell of a ride.

The ghost train ride at carnivals for example: you buy your ticket and wait in the line awaiting a heap of fun and a few suprises etc. Once in the ghost train car thing you get that feeling of 'well, i know theres just a heap of dudes in there with masks on and feather dusters...however once the doors slam behind your cart and your in the dark the fun turns a little weird!

I started the recording and all was great. Capturing the tracks was awesome, then i captured some more and maybe a couple more. The songs were sounding enormous! So I had a bit of a one on one with some of the parts, telling them theye were great, however i would have to let them go.

Once they were escorted out of the building by the security guards i started again. Trashed all the songs and started again...it's a fact actualy that i wrote new bits, new songs and all that shizzle.

Now they were sounding cool. They sounded like a small band in big room, dynamic and robust, this was to be the takes.

While showcasing some tracks to 'other musicians' I had opened myself up and entered the ghost train. Shit was jumping out at me, grabing me, tickling me and generally giving me the 'heebie Jeebies'.

I listened to people to much, took it on board, stressed out and took it personal.

Anyway 6 months later, a visit to the emergency ward for chect pains, an attempt to quit smoking, drinking, a thousand live gigs, working fulltime, learning other music for other bands and being sensitive amoung other things i am proud to say here it is...12 tracks made it from 16 and they sound lovely.

Thanks to everyone that assisted in some way...i'll have this pressed within a couple of months i recon and we can start over!

The ghost train is now closed for business!!!

Damon.
