I AM SPECIAL
I am special…
In all the world there is no one like me.
Since the beginning of time, there has never been another person like me. God created me to be an exceptional, valued individual.
No one has my smile. No one has my eyes, my nose, my hair, my hands or my voice.
I am special…
No one can be found who has my handwriting. No one has my taste for food, music or art. No one sees things exactly like me. In all of time there has been any one else who laughs like me and no one else who cries like me.
No one reacts to any situation just as I would react.
I am special…
I am the only one in all of creation who has my set of abilities. Oh, there will always be somebody who is better at one of the things I am good at, but no one in the universe can match the quality of my talents, ideas, abilities and feelings.
I am special…
Through all of eternity no one will ever look, talk, walk, think or do like me.
No matter how good or bad any one else treats me, and whether or not they appreciate who God made me to be, I love who I am.
I am special…I am rare…I am precious…
In all rarity, there is great value.
Because of my great rare value, I need not attempt to imitate others. I will accept – yes, even celebrate my difference!
I am special…
I am beginning to realize it is no accident that I am special. I am beginning to see that God made me special for a very special purpose. He must have a job for me that no one else can do as well as I. Out of billions of people, I am the most qualified for the specific purpose for which He made me.
That ONE is me. Because, I am special. I am special to God, and if no one else recognizes my uniqueness and value, I will. I am special to me.
For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
"Yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother's womb. I thank you, High God, you're breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration, what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day."
Psalm 139:13-16 The Message
