5/29/08 Things have been a whirlwind around here. Work is picking up, and we have been looking at houses. I have a feeling that I will be busy the next few weeks, so I don't expect to write much here. So, if things are quiet, you have an idea why. Why did that Memorial Day weekend have to go by so fast?

5/23/08 I updated the Game | Life video to episode 14. Check it out; it's about Wii Fit. And speaking of Wii Fit, it's a blast! My wife doesn't play video games, but she was giddy about this one. There is a soccer game where you have to hit soccer balls with your head. This is done by standing on the Wii Fit board and shifting your body weight to manipulate the character's movements on the screen. She's no game player, but she kicked my butt! I was happy and irked at the same time!

I like the games and all, but I was also getting into the Yoga section. I know; it sounds very girly. What? Can't a man be in touch with his feminine side? haha Seriously, I could stand to improve my breathing, posture, and flexibility, so yoga interests me. After all, I ain't getting any younger, you know.

5/12/08 Some surveys on my reunion site came up about video games. Here's a list of some games that I enjoyed.

5. Jr. Pacman - This game had huge mazes, so the screen had to scroll to see the full maze. Plus he wore a beanie with a spinning propeller. :)
4. Robotron 2084 - I would have rated this game higher, but it always kicked my butt. (Yes, I'm a sore loser.) haha
3. Dig Dug - The music was catchy, and the "weapon" was a bike air pump. You literally blow up the monsters.
2. Donkey Kong - The classic game.
1. Galaga - OK, another classic game. Ramp up the difficulty by chugging your favorite BEvERage between rounds

Oh, Phoenix was a good one too! The convenience store by my grandma's house had this one and Moon Cresta. Berzerk was cool because it actually talked. "Intruder alert!" "Chicken! Fight like a robot!" I sucked at the arcade version, but I did ok on the Atari 2600 version. BTW, Happy Belated Mother's Day!

5/8/08 I decided to clean up this section somewhat. Older entries have now been moved to the blog, which I'll use as an archive. You can read more about the change there. I'll still continue to post items here for the sake of accessibility, and I plan to move older entries monthly.

5/7/08 I saw Iron Man over the weekend. I'm not much of a comic fan these days, but wow was that cool! Seriously, I felt like a kid seeing Star Wars for the first time. It was a fun movie that appeals to the kid in all of us. Downey plays the main role, and man, does he play it up! It was great fun, probably more so for guys. Chalk up another well-done super hero movie. I highly recommend seeing this show if you're:
1. a nerd
2. a kid at heart
3. a comic book fan
4. all of the above
