Hi guys,

Good news. Up on our facebook musician page and myspace are a couple new songs we recorded in Tom’s hi-tech bachelor pad...

"No Talking": A song we’ve been tinkering with for a while, but this is the official version (so far). It’s not a very complicated song but I guess it’s about how the baby boom generation went from 60’s idealism to 90’s apathy and what that’s left us with. (Have any of you seen the movie The Edukators?).

"You Better Watch Out": This one’s about a hipster who has a crush on a girl he keeps seeing on the bus but doesn’t have the guts to ask her out. He dreams of all the cool things he would take her to if he did. It’s also sort of about the coldness of the hipster scene in general. We recorded this song in a batch where we were listening to a lot of Girl Talk and decided to mash up as many sounds and elements of different genres as possible (on this one there’s a hawk’s cry from a nature website that we put through a guitar amp, for example) but still have it be a song you could hear on the radio. We probably failed there, because I have no idea how to get on the radio (if you do, please tell me!), but we had a really good time and here is one result of that experiment.
