This week I purchased a car!

A 1994 Toyota Corolla and it is all mine.  I have been looking on Craigslist and at the Autotrader to see what was out there.  Really having no clue what I was doing.  This past Saturday I asked my roommate who knows a fair bit about cars to come with me to some used car lots to help me.  We went to a lot not far from our place and there it was.  And by Tuesday night "she" was all mine.

Once it was finalized, my brother-in-law asked me if I had named her yet (for some reason my car is a girl) and when I was walking on the lot to purchase her, it just came to me - Tulula.  For some reason it just fit.

So now I have a car.  This is my first car.  And it feels amazing.  I have to say I really didn't know what I was missing.  I no longer have to rely on BC Transit to get around. 

The timing could not be better either.  The rainy season is now upon us and I don't have to worry about dressing for the weather or showing up to work with wet clothes. 

I can't wait for my first road trip.  Perhaps I'll have to go up to Penticton for a little get away.  Anybody up for a road trip?? :)

I'll post some pictures soon.  It is supposed to be sunny this weekend and I really want to take some cheesy first car pictures.  Cause I'm cheesy like that.
