Hello everyone this is Rocky. I wanted to let everyone know about some changes going on in the Soul Embraced camp. I want to dedicate my guitar playing to Living Sacrifice and make our new record the best record we've ever done. To do that I need to focus on LS and LS alone as far as my guitar playing goes.
I wanted to end my guitar playing for SE on a high note, like a boxer retiring as a champion and I believe I'm doing just that because to me Immune and Dead Alive are highlights in this area of my carreer and I'm very proud of everything we accomplished.
Lance Garvin will be dedicating all of his efforts to Living Sacrifice as well so in his place I will be playing drums for Soul Embraced so Chad, Devin and Jeff can continue on and start working on a new record.
Soul Embraced is NOT breaking up, just changing. It may be the final chapter for Lance and I in one way but in another way it is the first page of a brand new book. I'm excited to see what happens. To be continued...

As long as you guys have been taking care of business, you know whats needed to keep the machine oiled. Brother Rocky on drums will be an interesting change for SE and one I look forward to. God knows he and Ben were the only reasons I bought Evanescence's "Fallen" album. :P I've loved LS for years, and recently have developed an affinity for SE. Im excited to see whats ahead!

fair enough rocky.u could still do an australian tour with ls and se but u would need 2 litres of coke in between sets.

I've been a fan of SE since before the Immune album. Not that my opinion on this matters, but I believe that SE slays LS. If you 2 guys can't find a way to spread the creativity between both bands that's understandable, but don't let this stand in the way of the greater good of the sound of the band. The crushing intensity of the last two albums is a force to be reckoned with, and that is something that shoudn't get lost in these changes. SE has dedicated fans out there who really dig the music, and it would be a shame to let that disappear for naught. I personally have been a musician for 15 years, and I know that sometimes things get tough, but that's no reason let things slip away. I wish you guys the best of luck and god bless.

news news news. awesome guys. i love lance's drumming (my favorite) but i def have a healthy respect for rockys drumming and in fact the track he played drums on Dead Alive (Everything Reminds Me Of You) turned out to be one of my favorite songs off the record. I wonder if this means Devin will be the only guitarist or if another will be added (fingers crossed for LeCompt lol) LS and SE are my fav bands and i tend to favor the rythym driven LS a little more so I am so pumped to see Lance's drumming on the new album nevertheless SE is in the same spot on my list as LS - both at no.1 so God Bless you all in all your endeavors and keep it brutal for Christ!

Awesome!!!! I am a huge fan of both bands and glad that both will be somewhat intact...I can hardly wait for "death machine" to come out..i have "immune" and "dead alive" as well as LS "the hammering process", "conceived in fire" and "in memorian...lance and rocky, you both are truly great musicians and it is wonderful that you use your talents to spread the good news!!! God rox!!!
