	Never Forget! Dirty Sally	I have never had a valentine's day where I got flowers and candy and ate out somewhere fancy. I never really bought into that...There are emotions and moods (happy, sad, horny, mad) and there are sentiments (love, devotion, joy). The difference is that emotions and moods change, sentiments do not. It is sentiments that make relationships meaningful. It is damn near a requirement when it comes to choosing friends and partners. I owe my love to God, my family, and to those who return my love. As for people I meet through work, hip hop or any other factor of everyday life, it is a choice I make to show you love. And this is not an easy lesson to learn. I lost my father, my mother and my husband (R.I.P) in a short period and it was the grief that contributed to my maturity. It is more important to me to recognize sentiments and I believe that after a crazy adolescence and early adulthood I finally know what peace is. I know what love is. I know what joy is. I know what loyalty is. It is a beautiful thing. And in this materialistic and vain society, not too many people get it. I love you X and tear that muthafucka up tomorrow night!
