I hate my job... But I haven't quit yet.

I was asked by a new hire today if they were making the right choice joining the team.

"How do I like it? My experience has been... what's the word I'm looking for - fulfilling-...................isn't it. But they are very punctual about paying you - new web based timekeeping system. Very hands off - management hardly bothers you unless something is due that day - like a timesheet. We don't have long meetings or anything - they lay people off in private. Well, I can't complain. I really can't complain because my supervisor is on the other side of my cube - we'll need to go to lunch for that or something. Allcay Emay. Welcome aboard."

I just found out today the "girl" on the other side of my cube has applied, interviewed, and refused to better job offers in the last 6 months. Neither of us have gone anywhere, but I think she's winning the race to the door...
