Some recent developments on the Act IV front. We are collaborating with the SPIFC on a charity auction. A few interesting items for bidding (I thought there was going to be more, but apparently it was promised for another auction). One of the items is a sealed Light into Dark compilation vinyl (the first official release SP was ever on back in 1989) that was donated by Barry Waterman from Halo records a few years ago for our charity auctions back in 2002 (we were given two originally). Given that it was sitting in a box with a bunch of other stuff, the condition of the cover is between Very Good and Excellent but the album is still sealed, so no worries about the condition otherwise. Another highlight is the rare French TAFH promo donated by SPFreaks.com
To get involved with the auction, you have to be a member of the SPIFC but if you aren't already, then it is fairly easy to sign up. Once you have, follow the following link and look under 'charity fundraiser' for more info and the list of items:
http://www.spifc.org/members/en/spifc_fundraiser.html The fundraiser is for Make-a-Wish of Illinois of course. There is also the option to donate funds to Make-A-Wish without bidding but saying to Make-A-Wish you are donating on behalf of the 'SPIFC/Act IV charity auction'
Also for SPIFC members we have a deal where they can purchase the album at a reduced price of $9 USD. While everyone who buys the CD gets access to SHNs of the entire Act IV 2002 concert, SPIFC get a chance to win some other bonuses. 1 out of every 10 SPIFC members to purchase the CD will win an official promo copy of the original Ghost Children CD (basically extras pressed during the 2 original pressings of the CD, but they are unnumbered). The original Ghost Children is out of print on CD, so this is the only way you can get it.
Also, every SPIFC member that buys the CD will be entered into a draw to win a sealed copy of the CD re-release of Light into Dark, signed by Barry Waterman, creator of Halo Records.
