Saw Patrick Duff (he of Strangelove fame) & Katey Brooks (about whom I've banged on a fair few times, based almost entirely on her track 'Hunger') at the Folk House this evening - and both were very good. There was a second support act on too, one Suzy Condrad, who was clearly quite talented, just not quite to my taste, I'm afraid.

But definitely a top night out. It was pretty packed, and I felt both thoroughly unarty and young (go figure), plus John lunched it out, so I was proper Billy No Mates, sitting on my lonesome, nursing me beer, fingering me phone willing it to buzz with a text or two.

But anyhow, the music was grand - finally got to catch Katey Brooks in an acksuall venue (I think I saw her at Ashton Court, though that may be some kind of hallucination), and she was marvellous; and Patrick Duff was awesome, kicking out lots of animal emotions and courtly charm too, a very inspiring chap so he is.

Hope to catch them both again in the future.
