Current mood:  aggravated
Everyday I receive a couple of chain letters in my inbox. Each one of them includes my email address in the CC field. Therefore, every person that gets the email also gets my email address. When they forward it, they are transmitting my email address to someone else and so forth. I don't want my email address forwarded into eternity and neither do you. Why? Because this is the way that spammers get their addresses and make money out of them.

So far this month I have collected thousands of email addresses, of people that I don't know, through these emails. One of them could be yours.

Is this unavoidable? What can be done?

This situation can be easily avoided by sending bulk messages with the email addresses in the BCC field. Then, everyone gets the email but no one knows who else got it. Your email address gets forwarded to none and you are safer from spammers.

Please post this message to educate the world and keep your email safe.

Let’s stop spammers by using BCC instead of CC.

Adolfo
