Current mood:  energetic
What a night and what a fantastic line up of top Kiwi musicians/stars which even included the All Blacks!

My favourites stars on the night were J Williams - who had everyone turn the stadium into a candlelit cathedral (with their mobile phones) Magic!!
Scribe with his face off, OpenSouls, Dei hamo, Bic Runga, Dave Dobbyn, Savage, Che Fu, Hollie Smith with Let it Be and off course Tim and Neil Finn were the best!

I swear you could feel the love for Samoa and its people all over New Zealand last night (not just Auckland - Auckland being Samoa's biggest city:))
Opening up with "I got You" Neil and Tim Finn had us all rocking with them, whilst Tim's "Six Months in a leaky boat" was just perfect for the moment. Brilliant!

"Everyone is Here" took me back to 2004 (yay!) and "Weather with you" was when the brothers had Everyone in the stadium singing and playing along with them!

"It's only Natural" was a wonderful surprise and of course, what better song to end with but "Don't dream it's over". This was very special - as Neil called all the performers
of the night back to the stage to sing with them.

Absolute magic and a great ending to the night.
I forgot to say that Neil had earlier performed two songs with Bic Runga (and Don McGlashan) and played some kind of fancy instrument/gizmo that totally made one of her new songs!

And the best news - Over $250,000 was raised for the people affected by Samoa's recent Tsunami.
Watch C4 who will televise the night!! YAY!

I have barely heard of most of those artistes, but bloody well done to everyone who performed or pitched up to buy a ticket... I am seeing Reginald Dwight (You may know him as Elton John?) in a few days, don't have the heart to tell mum she is funding an AIDS charity by going...lol
