Ah, the heartland. Amelia White and I, thankfully, travel well together. For instance, she likes oatmeal and peanut butter and I like my mid-western potato-product.
Shows have been good. Cape G., while we we slightly out of our element on the heartland news and perhaps moreso in real-time, was lovely. We had a genuinely stimulating songwriting workshop at "Broadway Books and Roasting Co." followed by some stimulating brew, which is not easily found in the heartland. There's a fantastic community radio program in St. Louie that had us on live: KDHX.org. Pat Wolfe was gracious and professional and it was fun to say "it's good being 'On Medication,'" that being the name of his program. The"OffBroadway" in St. Louis was a particularly nice room with particularly nice folks running the scene. As was the Ritual Cafe last night. And again, damn good coffee. A gem.
More soon...off to Omaha where we will visit the very first train station, I think...
