Oh, I have to end my MySpace silence with opinion of the new Octopussy. No longer a James Bond flick, Octopussy is my new name for the one and only Nadya Suleman who recently gave birth to a litter of humans in California.

I will never understand this has happened. How does a single, broke, nearly completely plastic Angelina Jolie loving woman have six kids that she struggles to raise with her mother who is clearly overwhelmed become eligible for in vitro fertilization? And this isn't your mother's in vitro! Not just two or three standard eggs for Octopussy but EIGHT.

How can any single human being care for 14 kids especially with 8 newborns? Even if she was rich she could never do it completely alone. She would spend 24 hours a day on separate feedings and diaper changes of JUST the newborns and someone has to take care of the other kids. While she's in her shitstorm of diapers and formula who is going to feed, clean, and get off to school the other 6 kids? What about homework, class meetings, and the billions of other things that have to happen in a child's life?

So now the State of California is footing the bill for a mega hospital stay for her and the infants, the Kaiser nursing staff that is assisting her, and no doubt basic care needs for the children. Don't worry, her student loans can help defray costs.

I don't understand how the state can pay for all of these things when she was able to raise money via donations to buy a large home, get a team of nannies, and even upgrade the jacuzzi tub.

I would want nothing more than for those children to be well cared for but where on Earth do we draw the line on what is right? Should a person with 6 kids and no income be allowed to have 8 more babies?

Octopussy....

I agree, this is ridiculous. Although, on the plus side, because of Octopussy, Denny's now has the "Octomom Breakfast"... 8 eggs, no sausage and someone else pays for it.

Not only is this lady out of her freaking skull.



But the docor who performed the in vitro fertilization needs to have his license taken away.



What guy in his right mind would ever think that this would be a good idea.



Wait, he'll get publicity.



I guess even bad publicity is good publicity these days.
