Music is my life. The entertainment industry is my life, and the Digital Demon has infected the masses.

I was fortunate when I was asked to start composing music for Tv/ Film 1998, and stoped making records for a living. Music on tv and film is regulated and there are standards for paying the artist's who license the music, and for publishers that own the music. I can make a living creating music and I happy for that.

But recording artist's that rely on selling records in the digital down load era, are having there music taken from them. Sites like Limewire, who create file sharing formats(are just saying it is ok to steal music and calling it sharing) There will not be a new era of popular artist unlike people want to believe because the business model won't support new artists.Sure there will be great artist, but you will never hear about them!! It is easy to say it is free exposure for the artist when someone steals their music,.that's a load of crap. Everyone who steals and does not pay knows that they are getting something for free, thereby making the once high value of music by recording artists less and less. The Digital Demon is infecting peoples basic abilty to know right from wrong.Just because you can do something does not make it right. My Hope is that people can act like human beings that think for themselves instead of acting like clones, but that is not likely when you factor in the human condition. It makes me sad to think there is a whole new generation that has lost their abilty to understand honesty or how to protect their future from decline and to understand the basics of how their futures will be affected by their actions

There will be millions that say "why should I pay when I can get it free". To them say," You go to work everyday, but now your boss will not pay you, but you have to do the work anyway. try buying your food and your kids things. It is the same issue. and truthfully,you will be replaced as well, by your own doing, by this same motion toward devaluing everything.. so go $^@$@ yourself for thinking it is ok to steal and put others out of work, and get them to work for you for free, it won't end there.. The Demon is coming for you too mark my words.In truth the move towards stealing from the talented will probably in the end put the least talented people out of business, so all of you that have those jobs that can be done faster and better by a machine "bye bye", in the end, talented artist's will still be plunking out some sort of a living, while a mac G10 8 drive super machine will be doing your job and you will be starving in part by your own hand.

I am watching what is happening and it makes me sad and angry, new music artists have no chance. because their once beautiful, interesting, unique and otherwordly talent has been devalued, Not by digital technology, but by people. The Digital Demon is you!
