Current mood:  energetic
Halston Halston Halston.

Been far too long since we've met here, so introductions and informations ARE in order.

Me, I'm P.Fiddlesticks. Chauffeur, manager, secretary and wet nurse to the boys in Halston. Dando & Carlos have been very understanding about the time I'm currently serving at Her Majesty's Pleasure. I should be a free man just in time to catch their giggery on the 31st, so...wish me luck, kids!

Two things I'd like to chat witcha about today. Peace & Love? War & Peace? Lenin & Stalin?
Nope.

NEW MUSIC
Though they haven't put up much new music lately; until they started preparing for their upcoming show in August, Dando & Carlos were recording twice/week at Halston Central in Brighten Center.
They've taken quite a shining to the Honcho & The Virg podcast, and have thus far provided their theme song AND "Happy Shitday!", a lovely, string-drenched minor-key ballad to commemorate Twood's b-day. Google 'Honcho and the Virg" and thank us later.
Other new songs nearly completed include "Victory"(high drama, with reverb!), "Baby Blue"(hey-ho tradition), "New Jack Swing Track" (Halston at the Notting Hill Carnival!), "Rewire", a couple of fantastic trippy instrumentals, and...what will likely be their next single, the MJ/continental/balearic berserker... "It's Time"!

SHOW(S)
So...In August, Halston were offered a show by another musician they greatly respect...to take place on Halloween night. As you may or may not know, there are only two people in Halston (Dando&Carlos). How could they play this show without a full-band? How could they say 'no'?!?!     They didn't.

So...to find bandmates...
It all started with new bassist, Flats Halston. A good friend of Carlos and bassist in local stars The Sun Lee Sunbeam; she offered her services on bass AND found a drummer for them: Evan Halston! As if that wasn't enough, it was at a Sun Lee Sunbeam show at the end of this summer that Dando and Carlos met Genie Halston: the best Saxsmith a band could hope for!
A good friend of Dando's, Michael Halston, has also joined up, playing guitar. Carlos, who can be a really picky jerk about playing with other guitarists, can't believe how great Michael sounds. He only drinks fancy beer...and has taken to mastering Revolutionary Way music as part of his contribution to the show. A hero.

So...the show. Lifestyle are headlining, and that's reason enough to be there. If you want to see Halston, show up around 8:45 or so. I've seen some rehearsal footage, and they really DO have some fantastic surprises (and interesting costumes) for ye! Set list is looking like "SINE", "Gurl Grope", "Terry Jive", "November 25", "From Here To Here" and "Crocodiles". A few of the songs have gone through some big changes, fiends...you need to hear this. See you there?

Bedtime for Bonzo,
P.Fiddlesticks
