Sping is here, the weather is great, and there is no excuses to dust off those scoots and kick the tires and light the fires!! The Rally Pilots first official rally participation will be at San Luis Obispo for the annuaRides of March. Last year from what I understand was really great. the weather cooperated and Sunday’s ride was one not to have missed. And sadly...I missed R.O.M last year. Im hoping to redeem myself to the almighty scooter gods by making the ride this year. Recap to 2 yrs ago.......Myself, Raja, And Skip all rode to R.O.M. via the rte 58. The last hour was TORRENTIAL, COLD TO THE ASSBONE RAIN!!. Thankfully Raja had a windscreen and was able to see the road cuz all I could do was follow his red taillight. I did have on waterproof pants and a semi water resistant windbreaker under my mesh riding jacket. Needless to say, i ws cold and wet. the rain cleared up finally around 1300. The abbreviated ride was to go on, and It did without myself, Sarah, and Raja. Oh Sarah and Alex were in a nice warm truck hauling thier scoots. So Alex and Grant were the only two from our group that went....Back to 2008.There is a 105 mile ride with my nme on it and im riding my 79P-200 in its first out of town rally!! Im really excited to have a 2 stroke to take to the rides now. I do love my ET-4, cant beat the gas mileage and the reliability. But there is something about hauling ass with a trail of sweet 2-stroke exhaust, shifting gears as ur making ur way through a bunch of twistys. This year I will have a video cam mounted to my legshield to try to capture the feel of riding a 2-stroke in a rally full of other scoots. I’ll have it on the site here sometime after the ride for everyone to check out. We all hope to see you there at R.O.M.!!
