Hello friends and fans...it's been quite a while since I blogged on here, but if you see a previous one about being busy, you may know why.
Just wanted to do a quick update on what you can expect from OLD SCHOOL SINEMA in 2009!

1. We will begin production on all new OSS movie trailers...you know, it's not a feature film, but a trailer with nothing but the good stuff, like sex, violence and all kinds of bad-ass stuff...not just horror-themed trailers, but some grindhouse/exploitation female revenge movie trailers in the tradition of Russ Meyer and Jack Hill! Who wants to be part of the action???
2. "THE SPOOK SHOW" will be out on DVD in the first half of '09. It will be a different cut than what premiered at the Roc Bar in June and will be loaded with lots of cool special features.
3. Rumor has it that OLD SCHOOL SINEMA will host another show with a movie, bands and the SINEMA SIRENS burlesque girls in March...Friday the 13th to be exact! Stay tuned for details...
4. Footage from the 1st and 2nd OSS ZOMBIE WALK will be compiled on a cool DVD that will be available soon...quite possibly at the next event listed below:
5. The 3rd Annual Charity ZOMBIE WALK is going to be on Saturday, April 25! We had such a blast last time with over 120 zombies participating and raising over 300 pounds of food that we couldn't wait 12 months for the next one...and we're hoping with late April, the weather should be a little warmer than late November...It's all going down at the 5 O'Clock Lounge once again. Horror-themed rock band HORROR of '59 will headline the post party, along with The Coffin Riders.
6. A new OSS movie, (current codename is "UV"), will shoot in the second quarter of 2009. Let us know if you wanna be a victim...or KILL somebody (on film, you sickos!).
7. Another movie, in the spirit of "Evil Dead," will be shot this summer. Looking to cast some well-known names in the leads...very excited about this one!
8. You can expect to see an all-new SINEMA SIRENS website. We've almost completed casting our new SINEMA SIRENS for the site. We have a few more spots open, so let us know if interested.
9. Many members of the OSS crew will be hitting up conventions over the next several months. We'll be at Cinema Wasteland as usual (mostly for pleasure, not business), but look out for our schedule for other convention appearances...we hope to return to MOTOR CITY NIGHTMARES in Oct. 2009!
10. Last but not least, I'm working on an ambitious script that is an homage to the sci-fi/horror movies of the 1950s. In fact, it will take place in 1957, so if you're are into that era (the cars! the clothes! the music! the girls! the movies!) and always wanted to know what it would be like to live in the 50s, here is your once-in-a-lifetime chance. We will be shooting this movie late summer/early fall 2009 and need all the help we can get. Who wants to be an extra? Who has access to 1950s items? Who wants to make history in Cleveland filmmaking???
