tennessee trees and a foggy blog-
im a bloggin' the trees are blooming kids. tennessee trees are the most beautiful in spring.
record is done. can you believe it? what a crazy path ive been on. as some of you know, ive been picked up by cityslang records.. im very excited about working with this label. i know its been awhile, and i cannot thank you enough for hanging in there with me thru the fog. it was quite thick for awhile, all the music business mumbo jumbo can start to become tedious,,but, its tough times kids. and i wrote a "tough" song for the record. called 17 horses.. im curious to see how you guys will respond to it. truth is - i cannot stick with one genre. you will see that this record is all over the place stylistically because as usual, if i had to stick with one "thing" i would go out of my mind. anyway. record is done. boys. boy oh boy.
so..ive got some show dates in europe-some with the lovely mr andrew bird who i ADORE. what a gentleman. a gifted, talented gentleman and his fellow bandmates are golden. we open for him in london .. see below for full list of tour dates and/or also the show section of the site. im also opening for beth orton. ive always loved her music. (my husband todd has a crush on her) good thing im solo for this one ;)
how bout the website?! thanx to my dear friend paul for putting this together for me. the intro is my basement, the green chord organ what i used while first learning to drum and play keys at same time. feverqueen because i can tell you the exact degree of your fever. always. since ive had children ive always been able to sense fevers. or when they're coming. i know you think bogus. but true it is! (and i once wrote a song called feverqueen with my friend wyatt) THANK YOU WYNDHAM FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK!
happy spring younglings! everything is new. lets celebrate. count the clover, smell the buttercups, cry in the thunderstorm.
