Check out the website unkut. com for an interesting "where are they now" type-interview of me about the time period when I owned hip-hop back in the 90's as a columnist named "The Rap Bandit for The Source and Vibe magazines.  Cut and paste the link below to your address bar and get your mind blown

He should release the book digitally. I’d pay at least $5 to read it. I’d probably pay more for a physical copy. Just do it independently already!

I used to really want one of those t shirts with the rap bandit on. I’d love to see that cartoon drawn by Todd James.

Finally, someone reveals the mystery! Damn that dude had jokes…

I never knew The Rap Bandit was also Pistol Pete. That whole era of The Source will never be topped. Magazines don’t get any better than The Source from 1988-1994.

Classic lil’ section that was. I remember someone askin’ “is there an ugly side to rap?” and he said “yes- Too Short’s teeth”…

I also once sent him a question ad had it published. I asked “what happened to the little white boy from Run-DMC’s ‘Rock Box’ video?” and his answer was “now you know why Kid Rock has that video talkin’ about ‘You Don’t Know Me’”.

I def. enjoyed reading that shit every month, cause you knew some ol’ funny sarcastic shit was gonna be in there.

Outstanding interview Robbie. Next to the hip-hop quotable, that shit was my favorite part of the Source. I am sure he has got many more interesting stories!

I don’t know how I remember this, but I remember a person asked what Phife said on Oh My God, where’s he’s like “….the anti-******* is who I be”, and the Rap Bandit said he said “Jew me, sue me”. That was like the funniest shit to me, cuz of course no one knew what or why they bleeped Phife’s words out, but that jew me sue me was perfect. Big ups to the Rap Bandit.

I had two letters published in Rap bandit. One of them being in the old school issue with Herc, Flash and Bam on the cover. I used to think rap bandit wrote both the questions and answers but i was proved wrong.

use 2 go straight to that section when getting a new Source

1 joke i still laugh at…’what would happen if Fat Joe lost some weight’…’he’d be unemployed’..lol
