Stackhouse Recordings Presents Black Amerika
With features from Asher Roth, The
Clipse, Kanye West, Jay-Z, 50 Cent and Tupac, Stackhouse Recordings brings to
you Eminem: “Black Amerika”, the newest addition to the Nojo Collector’s
Edition. The mixtape boasts controversial cover art, as a red hoodie and doo-rag
clad Eminem hangs from a noose slung on a tree, surrounded by an infamous yet
tainted backdrop; apparent KKK members or are they (dressed in black, however)
set ablaze Americas flags and wooden crosses in the midst of an ashy sky. The
scene, hellish in nature, addresses the intermittent mainstream rejection of
the Caucasian rapper who, despite his obvious talent and thriving career, seems
to be downcast for excelling in a predominantly African American industry –
excelling beyond several of his fellow black antagonists, in fact. The irony
between the illustration and title harshly criticizes the state of “black America” and
its central mentalities. The combination of blends, remixes and original
productions by Stackhouse Recordings is sure to deliver one notorious dose of
hip-hop politics and demonstration.
