This year's Community Records Tour was quite possibly the best tour we have ever been on, hands down. Great friends, great shows, and great heat rashes abounded. For a more detailed account with videos and such, please visit CommunityRecords.org because Greg and D-Ray are way more computer savvy that any of us could ever hope to be. Andy is pretty good at playing Oregon Trail, but you can't really do much with that when it comes to communicating through the internet.
Big ups to Jamie from the Rock 'n' Roll Hooligans for filling in on drums! A great man for sure. Great facial hair, too. Be sure to come out on July 23rd for Toli's birthday show at fooBar to see him play. I hear there is to be male mud wrestling.
I could put a list of thank-yous up, but I'm not very good with names, locations, or anything having to do with social interaction, so I will just say thanks to everyone who helped us have such an awesome tour; you know who you are because our smell is probably still lingering in your house. I hear a mixture of bleach and white vinegar helps. Most of my time was spent wandering around the cities we stayed in from 1 to 6 AM looking for stores that would carry soy chocolate milk and licorice and then passing out in the van as the sun would come up to magically wake up in another city hours later, as well as holding Charlie from FTA upright most nights after several rounds of There Will Be Beer. Happy birthday, champ!
To not seem like such a douche for not naming anyone in detail, I will say that Greg from FTA is one of the nicest guys for having us on his label and putting together such a solid summer tour. Playing with Fatter Than Albert and A Billion Ernies each night was the best place I could have been, and to have it happen for three weeks will be hard to top.
What a great blog. Someone please un-invent the internet.
Up the punxxx 4ever,
Will
