Rate your media literacy. Consider questions such as the following: Through what channels and specific media outlets do you obtain most of your news information? Why do you choose the channels you choose? Do the specific media outlets provide accurate information?
This will prove to be a very interesting topic for me since I don’t watch television, save for mandatory necessities that are required for Human Services classes. I have no political views other than what Jesus Christ’s Teachings dictate for me to follow. I’m an avid (fierce devouring affection) Christian Counselor, not swayed by the times or media, not to mention public opinion to the contrary. My beliefs are not those of the typical Christian of today, but of those based in times gone past. Time is relevant to God, since God created Time and I am of God and Time does not apply to my belief since my Time does not end. This is basic Christian theology, not the theology of your basic Christian however. This particular journey in Time is only a stepping stone, so to speak, to correlate how Time is of no value in my spiritual existence, save for the Time of my death to glorify God, thus the starting Time of an eternity. I also believe in reincarnation, which Jesus Christ taught. He stated, In order for Him to be The Messiah, Elijah the prophet had to return. He stated that Elijah did return and that John The Baptist was Elijah reincarnate, although John The Baptist did not know that he was Elijah reincarnate. Thus in order for Jesus to be Jesus, reincarnation must exist. If it does not exist, then Christianity does not exist and our entire world system of Time is a hoax because the entire worlds Time is based on the death of Jesus Christ, period. It is April 07, of 2009 because we all agree that Jesus Christ died on BC0AD. As the world is today, if this were to be in question, then the world would change this. But the Holy Scriptures also makes mention that the world will change this Time deficit (Inadequacy or insufficiency: A deficiency or impairment in mental or physical functioning. An unfavorable condition or position; noted to be a disadvantage) to a more worldly Time of Time, so as to remove Jesus Christ from this precedent ( Convention or custom arising from long practice) finding of fact in our history. Deep subject, but then again, we know that it takes many wells to make a lake, or is it, that it takes one lake to make many wells?
I would rate my media literacy as that of a pre scholar in training, maybe as Time would go, a kindergartner. Since I use the Internet to achieve my basic communication needs, any news that I may receive is obtained through Google’s home page or Yahoo’s home page. These particular channels are not immediately chosen by me, they are just there, since these are my basic e-mail address correspondences. As with any media based information channel, they would contain the biased informative opinion of facts mixed with theory and conjecture (judgment based on inconclusive or incomplete evidence; guesswork) on that of the reporting agency or reporter. As Time goes by, we learn that certain history of facts are indeed not factual at all, but that does not seem to matter to the masses at large. Just take Christopher Columbus Day. He is said to be the discoverer of America, when it has been proved that he was not the discoverer of America. This has not changed the fact that we still celebrate him as the discoverer of America and still teach this false hood in our schools, when we know that he was not. These types of history finding of facts and maybe theory, only prove that no media that turns into history has its origins from that of a non biased opinion of facts. And of in closing this speculative informative Journal of Nine, these statements can only prove to be that of my own biased opinion. As Pontius Pilate (Roman Procurator of Judea, who ordered that Jesus be crucified (died in AD 36) once said, “What is Truth?”
