FORWARDED FROM UTAH PRIMATE FREEDOM:
it has come to the attention of Utah Primate Freedom that two notorious primate vivisectors at the University of Utah, Jennifer Ichida and Alessandra Angelucci, are to be presenting a visual poster about their research project at a conference called COSYNE 2008 (see http://cosyne.org) in Salt Lake City this Thursday. We politely emailed the leaders of the conference, asking them to not let such horrible people speak, but they have not responded. Perhaps they are unaware of how serious we take this.
Every day the leaders of the COSYNE 2008 conference refuse to kick out Alessandra Angelucci and Jennifer Ichida, at least 30 more people looking forward to their conference will be pushed into thinking differently. Please keep your eyes peeled and help participate by emailing, calling, faxing, or otherwise contacting these supporters and ask them to make some last-minute plans and boycott this cruel conference.
Here are the first 30 names. CROSS POST FAR AND WIDE in addition to contacting these people. It's very important that you take the time to at least send an email to these 30 people encouraging them to reconsider their support of this conference.
These are all presenters at Cosyne. It starts with presenters and organizers, and by the time Wednesday night rolls around, we'll move on to attendees who are also giving their financial support to such a terrible conference.
UPF
P.S. For those in the Salt Lake area, protests are also planned every day the conference is in town. They start Thursday night at 8 pm.
