So i posted a bulletin on how to get on my mixtapes, and i got a lot of requests so i decided to redirect everyone to this here blog. Its a simple 1, 2, 3 step by step process on how you can land on a tape.

1. IM A FAN JUST AS MUCH AS YOU ARE - Most times, if im feeling your music, you'll get a slot. Its that simple. I dont charge for slots. I dont ask you to buy a box of the mixtape you got a slot on. All you gotta do is catch my ear. I go through the music of pretty much everyone who asks me to get on. Email me some tracks, and if i like your style....then you will hear back from me. I usually polly with cats anyway, even if you dont get a slot. Maybe try to give you some constructive criticism that will help you grow as an artist. But if you too lazy to read this blog or even submit tracks to the email...you deff dont want it bad enough.
2. MAKE SURE YOU HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHIT! - I love it when cats try to come at me on some 'yo, i got some hot shit but i mean, the quality aint that good...but the flow is dope' NO! I dont have time to develop you. (And thats no disrespect to anyone who hit me sideways like that) Just hit me with your best material. Thats all i ask for. Dont give excuses on why it might not be the best. And if your best shit is recorded in a home studio....well, quite frankly, if you got HOT shit....it dont matter if youre recording through a headphone set and a MIC jack on your computer. If its hot, its hot.
3. SUBMIT YOUR BEST WORK - (legendmixtapes@gmail.com) is the email. Check the track record. I have plenty of links that direct you to what my tapes sound like. I dont be riding the dirty south bandwagon, i dont really do any west coast tapes, i primarily do hip-hop mixtapes (and R&B). That REAL hip-hop though. That gutter NY 96 type shit. That soulful shit that talks about more than guns and jewels. On occasion, if an artist is hot enough....no matter what they rep, ill throw them on a tape. But most the time im lookin for that shit that isnt mainstream.
Disclaimer: If you fail to comply with 1 or more of these steps, chances are you wont get on a tape. So bring youre A game. And if you post a reply on this blog entry, you have a greater chance at me checking you out as well
