I could spend the first paragraph or so going on about how it's been a while since my last post but...naah.
I have not bought the storage trunk yet. I wanted to wait until I had all the goods in my possession before I decided how I was going to store everything. There's quite a bit of stuff coming. What am I talking about? I set aside a bunch of Edwin's things back in January and our trip in June. Much of it for sentimental reasons, some are just some things that need to be gone through and sorted out.
I'm doing well pretty much. I was telling my grief therapist last week that I'm handling things a lot better but, my anxiety comes creeping up on me from time to time. The strange thing about all of this is that, I've previously gone up to about a year or so without seeing Edwin so, it's almost like things are relatively normal in that way. It's when the holidays come around and the 1st year "anniversary" hits that will be pretty rough I know. Not looking forward to it. Before, I'd really look forward to the holidays because that's when I knew I'd see him and the rest of my family at some point.
Onto other things...I cooked 2 days in a row. Grilled up some steaks (on our actual gas grill instead of stovetop) yesterday for dinner and whipped up a batch of fried rice (with chopped up pieces of leftover steak) this morning. I'll also be cooking some sinigang (one of my favorite filipino stew/soup dish thingys) tomorrow or Tuesday. I also had a bologna sandwich for a snack today :) Yum-o.
While we're on the topic of things you consume, I'm drinking Snapple Fruit Punch right now...on the rocks. Can't really remember the last time I drank a Snapple. This one's from my mom who gave it to me for the drive home from Vegas last month. Anyway, I'm usually drinking Archer Farms (Target) flavored waters--ya gotta try 'em...they're not too sweet or weird-tasting and they're CHEAP! Also LOVE Minute Maid Cherry Limeade and the new Nestea "real brewed" iced teas. Occasionally I'll have one of my all-time favorites Cherry Coke. Not that often these days because I've been trying to cut down on caffeine intake...high blood pressure.
I have been pretty impatient lately with IDIOT drivers. I mean, REALLY impatient. I need to work on that...as long as they work on their driving!! One thing most L.A. drivers really lack is courtesy. Oh...and just plain CONSIDERATION for other drivers on the road. "Oh, I'm sorry sir. I didn't realize I was driving in YOUR world. Pardon me!"
I hit the 7,000 mile mark in my new ride tonight. Whoa man. A thousand miles a month. Not bad considering I've already taken a couple trips to Vegas, Anaheim a couple times, the O.C. fair. Heading up to San Francisco over Labor Day weekend for a friend's wedding. It rides really nice. Quiet. Can't go wrong with leather seats, XM radio and automatic A/C.
How about my new look? I shave maybe once a week. Gotta keep working more on evening out the tan lines. Weird. Tan lines on my head? Still getting used to that but, I'm diggin' the compliments!!
Football season's in the air. Hiyoooo. NFL Sunday Ticket, Season 2!!..
Wife's finishing up the latest Harry Potter book right now. She's excited but sad. I'm in love with Emma Watson. Is that bad? Don't answer that.
