RGT recorded "Minor Swing" very recently after a request from our friends at WDET in Detroit.  They asked to use it as a backing track for a Friday A.M. Arts and Events Calendar.  Mike, Tom and I likely never would have waxed this side considering how seminal the original Reinhardt/Grapelli version is - but a request is a request!

We opted to change it up by beginning the tune in G minor - "the key of human tragedy" and modulating into A minor, then finally C minor.  Although this song is played by every Gypsy Swing band in the world, I still think we sound like RGT on the track.  Arguably the most "gypsy-sounding" side we've ever cut - hope you enjoy it!

Is that the mysterious Gian Paulo playing upright bass on this track?
