with the so-called "Christian" book authors Beverly Lewis, Wanda Brunstetter, and the like. Pretty much all they write about is the Amish. Let it rest. Who wants to read about the Amish all the time? I know I wouldn't read that stuff if I was a female. My mom and sister don't read that stuff. They think it is stupid, like I do. Ok, so Beverly Lewis has Amish heritage. That still doesn't give here the right to write about them all the time. The main problem I have with the books these people write is it portrays the Amish very wrongly. So maybe an "English" man moving to Amish country and winning the heart of an Amish girl despite her family's reservation makes for a good love story. I don't know. Does it, ladies? Even if it does it portrays the Amish wrongly as I said. That doesn't happen all the time like these books would have you assume. The Amish are very conservative and all things "English" are shunned. Ok, to be fair maybe something like what these books portrays did and or does happen sometimes, but it is rare. So why make a career of / make money off of writing about the Amish all the time? Methinks it is stupid.
"I am sick in the teeth / Rip them out while I sleep / This is old / Will you shut it off?" Yes. Exactly right, Jonezetta.
