Maybe its wrong to assume everyone has experienced Wrigleyville on a Saturday night...the trolley full of drunks ...the Maroon 5 coming out of the bars...the crisp button down shirts they just bought at Express for Men...

Today I heard a very nice young man in all earnestness ask his acquaintance if he'd ever heard of this place called the Cubby Bear because he went there after a game recently and it just got crazy. They cranked the music up and it just got wild after the game. Then he talked about he went to another bar and they did the same thing!!! He seemed genuinely shocked by the debauchery of a bunch of drunk ex-frat members who have had exorbitant amounts of Old Style. It was sort of sweet and endearing. I wish I never had to go to Wrigleyville, either.

My other favorite eavesdropping moment was at a cafe and a girl asked her boyfriend how it was cold outside. He made fun of her and said, "how'd you get here? the underground railroad?" and then she said "don't make fun of me" in a girly fashion but what i wanted to hear her say was "the underground railroad wasn't an actual tunnel, jackass." duh.
