so shit, i guess i have a few minutes to throw down some thoughts. The tour of the West Coast with the Death Ships was very cool. Had to learn their live tunes in 5 days on keys. Turns out I love a musical challange. We hit five cities in 6 days, and played a show every night.
The wierd thing about playing in far away places is that people have no idea where you played last night - for all they know you've been playing in front of monster crowds and packed stadiums. So, when people come up to talk to you, it's with a totally dofferent level of respect. That sounds shallow, and it is! The fucking problem is that people treat musicains based how successful they think you have been, instead of how good the music is or how well they performed it! And that sucks. But I guess if you want a confidence boost, go play a coast tour and get your ego stroked by unsuspecting strangers.
