This one is short-only 6 classes.
Intermediate/Advanced Fiction Class Are you almost ready to commit to a piece of work but need help deciding what you want to focus on? Do you have a novel or short story still in the beginning stages? We will focus on figuring out what you really want to write, and get it started, or work on something you have written, and make it shine. The class will be structured around weekly writing workshops, in-class exercises, and constructive criticism from both the teacher and your peers. Finally, you will be able to tell your 'big' story! This class is designed for you to continue on to Advanced Fiction. Instructor: Rachel Sherman Rachel Sherman is the author of THE FIRST HURT (Open City Books, 2006), a finalist for The 2006 Frank O'Connor Short Story Award, a finalist for The Story Prize, and chosen as one of the 25 Books to Remember of 2006 by the New York Public Library. Her work has been published in McSweeney's, Post Road, Story Quarterly, Conjunctions and n+1 among other publications, and in the book THE BEST OF NERVE ANTHOLOGY.
