Some friends who agree with me about how the Bush administration has greatly harmed this country plan to vote for Barrack Obama because "he will bring change."

I can guarantee that Obama will not change America except for more government and more control of your life and your labors.  Just look at the Issues page on his official campaign web site and see if you can find specific plans to solve our huge problems.  What I see is just pablum -- intellectual pap. When he does hint at specifics, his solutions rely on more and bigger government.  It is clear he believes our government can solve all our problems, rather than recognizing that our government of corrupt and inept politicians has actually created the worst of our problems.

This country is in serious trouble.  We are bankrupt, we are failing in an arrogant policy of being the world's policeman, we are becoming more like a police state with more surveillance and less liberty, and we are losing control of our local government at the state level where we citizens might actually have a say in things.

What has Obama ever said to indicate that he would radically change our foreign policy (to one without military intervention all over the world), increase personal liberties (by canceling the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, the war on drugs, etc.), bring stability back to our monetary system (by ending the Federal Reserve and backing the dollar with hard assets), end deficit spending and start paying off our $9 trillion dollar debt, and return power to the states (by eliminating the Dept of Education, Dept of Transportation, and so on)?

Obama is a great speaker and seems to be a likeable guy, but I'm not fooled by him and his circle of CFR buddies who only seek more power, more money, and more control over you.

Our federal government (all 3 branches) and our national political process have been hijacked. It's been a long, gradual process that probably started in 1913 with the creation of the Federal Reserve. Thanks for the comments!
