It's sort of a stretch to say these are semi-Half-handed Cloud-related, but here goes:
1) My friends and performance collaborators (on the Spring 2005/2006 Half-h U.S. tours) Vollmar have just released their fourth (or fifth?) full length album tilted Tell the Dirt. It's on the Secretly Canadian-distributed record label St. Ives and is available on vinyl (limited to 300) or as a download. I have been playing this a lot on the turn-table. www.vollmarmusic.com
2) A short story collection titled Future Missionaries of America has recently been published by MacAdam Cage. It was written by my friend Matthew Vollmer (no relation to the band Vollmar). Matthew co-wrote (pre-wrote?) the early Half-h tune "Can't Even Breathe on my Own Two Feet." I've just ordered this book, and haven't yet held it in my hands, but I've read some of the stories--it's already received superb reviews from The New York Times, Library Journal, and Publishers Weekly.

3) And finally, my local friends (including two that briefly performed as Half-h members) Cryptacize have released their second album, also on Asthmatic Kitty Records, titled Mythomania. They're set to embark on a massive world tour, and are even on MySpace, look: myspace.com/cryptacize.
