My brother showed up around 4:30pm on Thursday...(after my caregiver had gone for the day). Wasn't sure whether she'd show up for work the next morning or not, since she has a problem of some kind with my brother.
Well, the next morning, she DID show up. (If she hadn't shown up, I'd already decided, it woulda been no biggie though...I'd have probably just called Tim and asked if he could possibly get Mary Tyler for me.
**See, Mary used to come by to check on me and bathe me twice a week...thru Sparks Home Health. Now, she works for Superior Senior Care.**
The last time I had to have a substitute thru Superior, Mary was the one they sent...which was a HUGE surprise, since I'm used to Tim sending some little chick who is barely 5'4" and completely unable to LIFT me...which leaves me STUCK in BED ALL DAY. All the chick can really do is sit by my bed and ask if I need something to drink...or get the bedpan for me if I need it. SUCKS!
**(My regular caregiver doesn't know it, but she is NOT the ONLY person working for Superior who can lift me anymore. She is NO LONGER IRREPLACEABLE.)**
Anyhoo...my mom drove myself and my regular caregiver to IHOP for brunch...(I had Garden Crepes! mmmmmm!). Then, it was on to WalMart to take care of some necessary shopping.
When we got there, there were NO decent power scooters available for me to use. So, instead, I had to be PUSHED around the store in one of those little wheelchairs with a basket on the front. What a ROYAL PAIN in the ASS!
About the time I was finishing up my shopping, I started to get this ODD sensation...I was REALLY LIGHTHEADED and WEAK. If I had been WALKING on my OWN 2 FEET...I KNOW I'D HAVE PASSED OUT COLD ON THE FLOOR!
I continued to feel that way in the van all the way home, and the dizziness continued until well after 3pm...(when my caregiver put me back into my bed and LEFT). I STILL have NO CLUE WHAT it was or WHY it happened to me.
Any ideas? ANYONE?!
Maybe I need to talk to my Internal Medicine Specialist about this during my next visit? Cuz I'm beginning to get a bit concerned about it.
