IMRO SHOWCASE TOUR 2008 PREPARES TO HIT THE ROAD

The legendary IMRO Showcase Tour returns for its 17th year in Spring 2008, and hundreds of Irish acts are expected to join the race for a highly coveted slot at one of the nationwide series of gigs. 

Over the years many new Irish acts have played some of their first shows at the IMRO showcase nights.  Recent acts to appear on the tour include Declan O’Rourke (V2), The Marshals (Faction Records / Universal), La Rocca (Chrysalis Music), The Flaws (Universal), Roesy (N4 Records), 8 Ball (Lakota Records), Oppenheimer (Bar/None US), Leya (Rubyworks), Mainline (Loog Records UK) and The Immediate (Fantastic Plastic Records UK) to name a few.

The 2008 Tour receives nationwide support from RTÉ 2FM through the Dave Fanning, Dan Hegarty, Cormac Battle & Jenny Huston radio shows, as well as additional countrywide support from The Star Newspaper.
