Current mood: ecstatic
this was a nice afternoon! it's a gorgeous day outside and i just watched my favorite band headline the Live 8 show in Paris, playing in front of maybe 100 000 and millions on TV, internet, radio.... i was betting on a pop setlists... they had 20 minutes so i figured we'd get all the pop staples (Just Like Heaven, Boys Don't Cry, In Between Days, etc...) instead they play Tape/Open, One Hundred Years and End. three pretty sombre songs... playing a benifit gig against poverty in Africa and Robert's singing: "It doesn't matter if we all die..." hehe you gotta love the guy. it was so great to see Porl back on stage with them after 13 years. and it's so wierd not to have any keyboards. but this performance has got me literally dripping with anticipation for the new album. Great times in Cureland, these are...
