"man first of all exists, encounters himself, surges up in the world – and defines himself afterwards."
     ~Sartre

"No shepherd and one herd! Everybody wants the same, everybody is the same: whoever feels different goes voluntarily into a madhouse."
~ Nietzsche, 1892/1966, Thus Spoke Zarathustra

"Good art wounds as well as delights. It must, because our defenses against the truth are wound so tightly around us. But as art chips away at our defenses, it also opens us to healing potentialities that transcend intellectual games and ego-preserving strategies."
~ Rollo May, 1985, My Quest for Beauty,

"To grasp life and meaning, we assume constancy where it does not exist. We name experiences, emotions, and subjective states and assume that what is named is as enduring as its name. Human beings blessed and cursed with consciousness - especially consciousness of their own being - think in terms of names, words, symbols."
     ~ James F. T. Bugental, 1999, Psychotherapy Isn't What You Think

I feel so queer. Don't you ever get taken that way? When I can't see myself I begin to wonder if I really and truly exist. I pat myself just to make sure, but it doesn't help much.

That we live in a world defined by what you earn, own, wear or look like. That war has become peace and we in the west are the war mongers, the gun makers and the the fascists (hidden loosely under the facade of capitalism and progress). I feel now is a time of great awakening and the powers who have ruled this dimension for millions of years are doing everything in their power to distract us (like parents putting children in front of the tv while they cook dinner) they give us booze and sex and money and power and fear and greed so that we are distracted from our true nature and our true ability. Hope that answers your question.

peace and love

I believe that being ture to yourself is complete freedom but it is vital to think of others and not to get lost in self obsession. If we concentrate on being individual without losing our connection to others we can find true peace we can learn the true things that matters and disregard the materialistic ideals that the media pushes on us. Everyone will accept they are different and even pride themselves on knowing they are their own person, they will stop seeing other people's race, religion or lifestyles as a difference and start seeing it as another individuality and in that thought we will all be the same. Stay true to your beliefs regardless of what anybody suggest you should be.

I am different to most people I do not follow the same social code as most, I wear what I want and not neccesarrily what is in fashion. I listen to music people arround me don't understand. It is my right to do so and that is what I believe in. Individuality.

I was bullied at a young age for my individualities, yet i didn't change I endured, now I have accepted that I am different to most people and follow my own path in life and I am a lot happier. The world however has lost its rose tinted glaze and I see the world in an array of different lights. There are a lot of terrible things out there (which I try to counter to the best of my limited abilities.) and there are a lot of amazing things, it's why I want to travel to remote areas and just be reminded of a life without the pressures of modern society.

Just some thoughts that were triggered whilst reading this blog. thought I'd share 'em.
