Alright kids, here's the scoop. I am sad to announce that
Quan and the Chinese Take-Outs have called it a day. We had a good 3 1/2 year run. Put out 2 singles. Played about 60+ shows. But it was time to end it. For the most part, it stopped being fun. And we always said that if it ever stopped being fun, we would stop. I don't ever want to be in a band where it's a struggle to enjoy yourself. What's the point? So it ended somewhat amicably. I won't air out any dirty laundry for all the world to see but with some much needed time away from each other, I'm sure we'll all be friends again.
So do us a favor and go and download our final e.p. off
iTunes and/or
Amazon.com and poor some beer out for some fallen homies.
Thanks to everybody who came to a show, bought a record, downloaded a song, got us shows, helped us record our songs, wore a button, and just overall supported our band. We truly appreciated it.
In the meantime, Yuko will be playing with our old bass player's (Eligh) band,
The Bombs. Joe will be doing a show or two with our buddies,
The United Snakes. Ben is working on getting together something new (in other words,
he's a free agent!) so keep an eye out!
RIP Quan and the Chinese Take-Outs
